At YELL, we believe that every young adult can make a difference in the world. We are a global platform that connects enthusiastic volunteers to NGOs around the world. Our overarching mission is to inspire high school students to actively engage in volunteerism and address important societal problems in their respective communities ranging from period poverty, lack of education, environmental deterioration to helping local animals and the growing contribution of e-waste. We are passionate about making an impact and believe that every action can contribute to something bigger.

Our student derived body, allows fresh perspectives to shape the community that we believe, can help sustain us to a brighter, and better future.

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YELL 2023:

My passion for volunteering began in my early days of petting every street dog I ever laid my eyes on. Ever since; it was love at first sight. I simply aimed to share this profound love for service and kindness, with those around me. Instead of being raised with the warning of "don't talk to strangers, " my mom always sent me, with a fearful caution: "DON'T touch ANY dogs".

Soon enough, I began to witness other upsetting social norms and problems around the city. Several critics were passed, but no solutions to turn to. I realised that the only way to solve a problem, was to become the conductor. There were many like me willing to make a change, but with no place or direction to turn to. With that, I blossomed the organisation, collecting enthusiasts from over 7 countries, and providing a platform to make a difference.

The name is to commemorate those in depths of struggle, unable to convey their voices, loud and clear: hence the name YELL. The power that youths of today hold, is immeasurable. The platform is a representation of those talents.

It's raw, fresh, and different.

I want the organisation to be accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime, from over the world. Volunteering is not a task, but an initiative, that can change the world.

Reverting to the famous saying, that, "It takes a village to raise a child", at YELL, we stand with the opinion that a child can change a village.
